Telehealth apps are those that provide healthcare services digitally. These include Teledoc (or &#8220;Telemedicine&#8221;) apps which allow you to interact directly with a provider or care team. The top 15 Teledoc apps increased net new installs (new users) 59% YoY, and April marked their best performing month on record.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this research, we looked at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080507578\/performance\">MyChart<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080899969\/performance\">K Health<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080783660\/performance\">Aetna Health<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8101107790\/performance\">Teladoc<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080756671\/performance\">healow<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080796473\/performance\">Doctor on Demand<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080617362\/performance\">MDLIVE<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080811931\/performance\">LiveHealth<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080675067\/performance\">Amwell<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/itunes_connect\/502147249\/performance\">FollowMyHealth<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080671042\/performance\">98point6<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080393140\/performance\">Babylon Health<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080394884\/performance\">Doximity<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080977244\/performance\">HeyDoctor by GoodRx<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8098459942\/performance\">Telehealth by SimplePractice<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080984751\/performance\">PlushCare<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/apps\/unified\/8080454234\/performance\">Medici<\/a>. So, we not only installed them more than ever, but we got good use out of them, too. Comparing the month of January to the past 30 days, the app increased daily active users (DAU) 78%. Healow, K Health, Teladoc, Doctor on Demand and Aetna Health are the five next most installed Teledoc apps of 2020, in that order.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image apptopia__blog--img\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"478\" src=\"https:\/\/apptopia.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/dau-mychart-Feb-10-2021-01-45-40-40-PM.webp\" alt=\"MyChart app grows due to social distancing\" class=\"wp-image-498\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sandbox-wp.apptopia.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/dau-mychart-Feb-10-2021-01-45-40-40-PM.webp 500w, https:\/\/sandbox-wp.apptopia.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/dau-mychart-Feb-10-2021-01-45-40-40-PM-300x287.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This newfound interest in telemedicine has helped the smaller apps get a needed lift too. Medici saw a whopping 7,000% YoY gain in DAU. Telehealth by Simple Practice grew over 1,000%, 98point6: +500%, HeyDoctor: +260% and Doximity: +136%. An honorable mention here is MDacne, which grew almost 350% YoY. My friends using these apps have reported how quick and painless telemedicine is in comparison to a regular doctor visit. Personally, I&#8217;m sold.
